Title: What Fidel Castro’s death means for future of Cuba

Url: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/cuba-fidel-castro-death-what-it-means-for-future-of-communist-country/

  • I loved the opinions of what the journalist has researched and given. I also enjoyed the link to another article involving a known politicians opinion. I feel as though the bar at the bottom of the article took away the non-opinionated information that could’ve been placed in the article. The gadget at the bottom was amazing!

Title: Disney’s “Moana” a box office hit, but is it offensive?

Url: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/disney-new-movie-hit-moana-criticised-depiction-polynesia-people/

  • I loved how the article took it’s time in discussing what the movie was. Also, showcasing both sides of the argument about the movie. I’d like to see maybe a interactive poll, statements from viewers of the movie who agreed or disagreed, and charts of the numbers involving the movie.

#3

Title: Why HIV infections in this group are no longer dropping

Url: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/hiv-infection-white-injection-drug-opioid-abusers/

  • This article was very informative. Great that it was mainly factual and used a couple of quotes to add credibility to the information. I also enjoyed there was a video on the side discussing the drugs that were a concern. Would’ve loved to have seen a chart of drug use in the U.S.

Granted this article is all based on an interview held the night before but it was a great way to recap and get glance readers attention. This article had tons of quotes, videos and pictures. I loved the part were it would link to previous articles that were posted about issues discussed in the article. A great article.

Title: Rep: Custody agreement reached between Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt

Url: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/spokespeople-custody-agreement-reached-between-angelina-jolie-brad-pitt/

  • Very insightful. Good facts on the situation. I know there wasn’t a lot for them to work with because they are both so private and only released statements. Good job!

#2

Title: Janet Reno, first female U.S. attorney general, dead at 78

Url: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/ap-janet-reno-first-female-us-attorney-general-dead-at-78/

  • Would’ve loved to get quotes from the “fans” that were discussed in the article. For example, Will Ferrell was mentioned. How did he respond to her death? Was a great tribute to all that she did in politics. Would’ve loved more photos or clips of a possible interview.

#3

Title: LeBron James, J.R. Smith campaign with Hillary Clinton in Ohio

Url: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/lebron-james-j-r-smith-campaign-for-hillary-clinton-ohio/

  • Very straightforward. Information suited the title. A great action photo of the Hillary Clinton and Lebron James. I would’ve loved to see what he said. Also, the clips of the other celebrities mentioned that campaigned with Hillary. Also, a chart or graph of Hillary’s poll numbers.
