Title: Kim Kardashian clears up confusion over her 2016 candidate choice

Url: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/kim-kardashian-supporting-hillary-clinton/

  • Lots of links not enough integrated media efforts. Kim Kardashian is known as being one of the top people followed on the trifecta of social media and her tweets weren’t used. Also, Caitlyn Jenner was mentioned by Kim with response by Caitlyn Jenner. Could’ve did more.

Title: Arnold Palmer, golf legend, dead at 87

Url: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/arnold-palmer-golf-legend-dead-at-87/

  • Loved the beginning, middle, and end of his life told in this article. I truly enjoyed all of the tweets and pictures integrated in the article. Would’ve been great to see videos of him golfing or a previous interview given with “60 Minutes”. Great tribute to a great man!

Title: Baseball mourns death of Marlins ace Jose Fernandez

Url: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/baseball-mourns-death-of-marlins-ace-jose-fernandez-boating-accident/

  • A developing story that CBS gathered as much information as possible to give an informative and heartfelt tribute to the fallen baseball player. I loved how all of the information they gathered was inputed respectfully and credibly with tweets. Would’ve been nice to have footage of Jose Fernandez playing in previous games.

Title: Kellogg recalls some Eggo waffles over listeria scare

Url: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/kellogg-recalls-some-eggo-waffles-over-listeria-scare/

  • This article was straight to the point and used only information released by Kellogg. I really can’t complain about the article for I feel that the extra would have made the story too fluffy and unnecessary. However, it would’ve been great to have a graph of other recent recalls or information on whether or not this has been a recent issue with Kellogg.

#2

Title: Police: Toddler shot dead at apartment complex in Tampa

Url: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/police-toddler-shot-dead-at-apartment-complex-in-tampa/

  • Another straight to the point article that didn’t use a lot of convergence media. The link to the local news station covering the situation was good. I just wish they would have integrated at the top of the story a video going over what that news station covered and used on their website like a package or a live reporter.

#3

Title: Emmy Awards 2016: Winners, highlights and top moments

Url: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/emmy-awards-2016-winners-highlights-and-top-moments/

  • Great story! I love how they recalled all the winners. Next time, would be great to have a chart at the bottom for a quick glance of the winners. Also, links to the shows or clips of the shows that won. The links just went to articles discussing the particular winners and their speeches.

These posts are for Professor Moore’s CBCM 3500 class. I have to read at least 3 articles and state my likes and dislikes about the article. Also, give my advice on what to change based on my opinion and what I’ve learned in class.

Title: Clinton cancels campaign plans after health stumble at 9/11 memorial

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/hillary-clinton-health-concerns-september-11-memorial-service-stumble-diagnosed-pneumonia/

  • Great article! I love the convergence of the media in combining videos and photos related to the topic. I feel that the moment they discussed her comment on Jimmy Kimmel it would’ve been great to see a clip of that moment, as well as a link to the show. Also, add a poll of the debate on the side for interactive measures.

#2:

Title: Miss Arkansas Savvy Shields crowned Miss America 2017

URL: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/miss-arkansas-savvy-shields-crowned-miss-america-2017/

  • This was a sub par article. They should’ve added clips of the Miss America pageant. For example, they discussed that the contestant performed a song and how great it was. It would’ve been good to see that. This article lacks convergence media. It did well of discussing facts about each of the contestants and their former contests.

Title: Several NFL players, teams make gestures during national anthem

URL: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/several-nfl-players-teams-make-gestures-during-national-anthem/

  • An amazing article! It was well versed in it’s presentation to tell a non opinionated story of such a controversial issue. I loved seeing all of the photos; including the slideshow put at the beginning of the story. There were quotes to make up the article. Very well put together. Also, there were news stories that were videos integrated into the article.
